What is Bacteriostatic Water?
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which acts as a preservative to inhibit bacterial growth. It is the recommended solvent for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides and allows for multiple withdrawals from a single vial without contamination.
Each 10ml vial supplied by AE Peptides is produced under pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing conditions and is compatible with all lyophilised compounds in our research catalogue.

Reconstitution Guide
1. Clean the rubber stopper of the BAC Water vial and your peptide vial with an alcohol swab.
2. Draw the required volume of BAC Water into a sterile syringe.
3. Inject the BAC Water slowly down the side of the peptide vial — do not inject directly onto the lyophilised powder.
4. Gently swirl until fully dissolved. Do not shake.
5. Store reconstituted peptide at 4°C and use within 28 days.
6. Always use a new sterile needle for each withdrawal.
